B1 · Section 4 of 10
Next year I will…
Talk about plans with the future and with vorrei.
andrò, farò, sarò end in -ò / -ai / -à, but everyday plans often just use vorrei and vado a with a time word.
andrò in Italia
(ahn-droh een ee-tah-lyah)
= I will go to Italy
farò un corso
(fah-roh oon kohr-soh)
= I will take a course
quest'estate vorrei viaggiare
(kwehs-tehs-tah-teh vohr-ray vah-jah-reh)
= this summer I would like to travel
fra due settimane
(frah doo-oo seht-tee-mah-neh)
= in two weeks
Common mistake
✗ io andrò a vedere
✓ andrò a vedere
The -ò ending already says I — drop io unless you stress it.
